About the Marine Corps Combat Utility Uniform
These Desert MARPAT trousers are part of the Marine Corps Combat Utility Uniform (MCCUU). It was first adopted in 2002 as a replacement for the old BDU. It introduced a new uniform cut and the distinctive digital camouflage pattern known as MARPAT, which is short for Marine Pattern. The MARPAT design includes pixelated patterning and embedded Eagle, Globe, and Anchor (EGA) emblems.
