Description

Here’s your chance to get some of the last new sets of Interceptor Body Armor (IBA) on the market. This extra-large USMC and Army-issue Kevlar flak jacket includes the Outer Tactical Vest (OTV), Yoke and Collar Outershell, Throat Protector, and Groin Protector.

The base fragmentation vest consists of a back panel, front right panel and front left panel. Each panel consists of a removable ballistic insert and an outershell component. The front panels are connected to the back panel with three pieces of nylon webbing at each side (two outside side adjustment straps and an inside side retention strap) and are also attached at the shoulders. After donning the vest, the front panels are secured using hook and loop fastener tape and snap fasteners.

The back panel has a SAPI pocket at the top that can be accessed while the vest is worn. The front right panel has a SAPI pocket that can also be accessed while the vest is worn. The front SAPI pocket has an eject strap that allows the user to quickly eject the hard armor protective insert. The fit of the vest is adjusted using the nylon webbing at each side of the vest.

The bullet-proof vest has PALS webbing located on both the front and back panels.

This style military vest is tested to stop a 9 mm 124 grain full metal jacket bullet at 1,400 ft/s (426 m/s) with minimal deformation and has a V-50 (minimum bullet Velocity for a 50% chance of penetration) of roughly 1,525 ft/s (465 m/s). This means that the bullet has to be traveling faster than 1,525 ft/s for it to have more than a 50% chance of breaking through the soft armor panel.

Just add ceramic plates to this U.S. Military issue vest to stop rifle rounds.

About US Woodland Camouflage – M81

The U.S. Woodland camouflage pattern, colloquially known as M81, was the primary camouflage of the United States Marine Corps from 1981 until its replacement by digital MARPAT in 2002.

Featuring a high-contrast, four-color design in green, brown, sand, and black, it was first issued on the Battle Dress Uniform. Woodland camo was also used by the Army, Navy, Air Force, and State defense forces. It saw action in various conflicts including the invasions of Grenada and Panama, the Persian Gulf War, the War in Afghanistan, and the Iraq War.

The Woodland pattern is an enlarged version of the brown-dominant ERDL pattern, expanded by 60%. This increase enhances its effectiveness over greater distances. This change reflects a strategic shift from the close-range combat of South Vietnam to broader battlefield engagements.
