Marine Corps Surplus APECS Gore-Tex Parka Condition Guide
These military surplus USMC Woodland MARPAT Parkas were previously issued to US Marine Corps personnel. The contract/size tags have been removed prior to sale for the civilian market.
New #2: These grade-2 MARPAT parkas are in new, unissued condition or are like new. However, one of the interior chest pockets and tag were removed. The size may also be written in marker in place of the tag. This does not effect the jacket as far as warmth, or ability to repel water. Besides this these jackets are in brand new/mint condition. Other defects may include dust, or missing tags.
Used-Good: These Marine Corps parkas are in good condition. They may have surplus dust and dirt, small stains, hand-written size inside, or other cosmetic blemishes. Many will have the tag removed. Some are missing one interior chest pocket, though these particular parkas are otherwise in very good condition.
Used-Acceptable: Acceptable USMC parkas have more wear than those in good condition. They may have any of the cosmetic issues present in good condition parkas. Additionally, the inside seam tape may be peeling or flaking, zippers may have slight corrosion (though still fully functional), and/or small holes may be present.
CIF-Damaged: These APECS Gore-Tex parkas are damaged in some way and are no longer waterproof. Most will have small holes or Gore-Tex lining that is pealing. They’re great for CIF turn-in or possibly repaired.
